Let there be light!!!

One of my favorite things to do is go out with one of my best friends, Emily and take night shots. We have had such a blast bundle-ing up, grabbing a hot tea and hitting the streets, alleys, and abandoned buildings around town and 'photogying' it up. These photos totally remind me of the good ol' times and it makes me excited for the fall and more night shots to come.

Elena Kalis

Elena Kalis just took one of my favorite past times (underwater photography) from my Grandma's swimming pool to the Bahama's where she making a living off of it. How much fun would it be to be in the beautiful clear water of the Bahama's AND be doing a photo shoot?!?! Pretty fun, me thinks. I am really enchanted with that first picture, but the Alice in Wonderland ones are sooo dreamy as well.

Meredith Dittmar

I love this polymer clay artist. She mixes such interesting concepts like Aztec architecture, pixelation, and strange little creatures. I like her use of the minty and earth tone shades. I think my favorite is the first picture. Those little buggers are so cute and slightly vicious. How can that be?

Daniel Danger

Danger, Daniel Danger. His name sounds like the infamous "Bond, James Bond" line. I like it. I really like Daniels work AND best of all he has some originals and limited editions at Gallery 1988 in LA until August 27! Eeekk! I want to go check it out. I fell in love with the first picture shown, my mom looked at it and thought it was so sad, I looked at it and thought it was beautiful. That last picture caught my eye as well, it reminds me of...I'm almost embarrassed to say it....the 3rd Harry Potter book, I won't get into the nerdy details, but in my eyes that is a praise not a slight towards Daniel. I got so geeked out on it, I'm hoping to buy a print of it.

Big Blue

Ahhh the ocean, I'm pretty much a chicken when it comes to swimming, standing or...doing anything in the ocean. It's big and the waves are strong and I don't know what lurks beneath my feet, but my God, it's a beautiful thing. Some day I plan on trying to surf...I don't know what day that may be, but....someday I'll give it a whirl. But for today, I'll just admire Big Blue from the shoreline :)

Ditte Isager

Clearly this Dannish photographer has stolen my heart (I have so many of her pictures up)! Right now I cannot get enough of Ditte Isager! The photos are so rustic, the colors are so rich and if there are 300 items in the picture or 3 items in the picture it is perfectly positioned for some beautiful shots. I'm obsessed, to say the least.

Eibatova Karina

Introducing: Eibativa Karina a.k.a. Ei.Ka. I'm transfixed on the kaleidoscope pictures in "Trees make us feel better" (how true it is!) and the hand universe. These are just some of her most famous pictures but the girl has such a long portfolio and tons of work that it was hard to choose. All of her work has a real hippie vibe that I'm totally into. Check her out on the Behance Network (Ei.Ka) to see all her stuff, and enjoy the journey through her work.
