Julian Callos

I was checking out a friends blog and she was raving about Julian Callos. He is an artist from LA, originally from the Philippines, a lot of his inspiration comes from cartoons, comics and pop culture. I really like the funky streaked colors in the background, it really makes the images pop off the page. I think my favorite one is the one with the kid and the camera, the image reminds me how I feel about my camera. Its seen so many things and gone to some cool places, one day it just may explode with all the pictures I've taken. I hope a giant squid and a zebra will come out of it!

Sebastiaan Bremer

Sebastiaan Bremer is a Dutch artist and he does some pretty psychedelic art. I don't know which I like more, the etchings or the colorful polka-dot photography...either way I'm now officially a life long fan.

James Hopkins

James Hopkins is a pretty cool artist. It's so inspiring to see how he works with different kinds of art. He has done stuff with wood, paper, doors, mirrors and then does crazy stuff with perspective and balance. He seems like a jack of all trades when it comes installations. I think my favorite is the last skull.

Barron Storey

Here's a little change from my usual posts. Barron Storey's work is slightly darker but I love the intensity. It really makes me want to stare at it and try to figure it out, and isn't that what art is all about?
That last image is his personal bio. I dig it. I certainly can relate to the fact that we are trying to figure ourselves out but all the while we just keep doing something that we love, and doing what we love usually helps us understand more about ourselves, and in the end it can save us.

Lupen Grainne

Sheeeesh, I know there are quite a few pictures, it is almost vintage imagery overload, but c'mon each of these pictures are so cute and ethereal and vintage inspired. I love them. Check this photographer out on Etsy. All of her pictures are so reasonably priced its incredible.

Cole Rise

I literally 'stumbled upon' Cole Rise a few weeks ago, and looked up more of his work. He's done some billboards, ads, and CD covers. I really enjoy his landscapes. I would love some of his work blown up and put above my fireplace or maybe even in the dining room. I feel like I'm really in these cow pastures and in these fields. I feel like I can smell the oncoming rain and feel the wind in my hair.

Bruce Davidson

I want Bruce Davidson's pictures on loop while I listen to The Gaslight Anthem's album 'The '59 Sounds'. These pictures were all taken in Brooklyn in 1959 when Bruce got word of a gang running around New York City. These black and white pictures transport me to a hot busy city and a time when the world seems just a little simpler and a little purer.

No specific artist. I just found all these things on ffffound! I'm digging the wild colors and that cereal looks really yummy!
