Never Hide

My cheap sunnies are on their last leg, and I think I'll be busting out my ol' RayBan wayfarers. There's something so classic and awesome about RayBans, everyone looks great in them and everyone should get a pair!

Good to see you

These are just too stinking cute.

Halloween :)

It's Halloween weekend! I have a bunch of loose plans but nothing really nailed down. Halloween bike ride? Halloween party with friends from work? Halloween party down at The Vault with friends? Maybe I'll just do all three....no matter what you're doing I hope you have a happy and safe Halloween and that you're able to scare a few people or something. I don't like being scared so don't do it to me ;)

It's time for another tea party!

I love tea cups and mugs, and I have recently switched my morning cuppa to tea and gotten rid of the coffee!?!?! It's crazy really because I've been drinking some sort of coffee beverage since 5th grade! Now, I'm obsessed with tea. As of right now I have Thai Coconut Chai, Goji Cacao, Chocolate, Yerba Mate, Brown Rice and Popcorn, and Chocolate Chai sitting on my kitchen counter. Yum Yum YUM!

Hello Moon

I love the moon. Actually, I just love the night sky. Stars, cloudy night, the moon, the universe I love them all. The night sky has always been very reminiscent of hope, love, and wonder. Even as a wee little kid my favorite books were 'The Moon Came Too' and 'Goodnight Moon'. They are both great stories, and if you haven't read them or read them to your kids I suggest that you do :)

Paris

I'm ready to go back to Paris. I can hardly remember any French from High School, and I don't have any real plans in action, but I'm ready for creme brulee and coffee and the Musee d'Orsey, and it's just so beautiful there...

Dan McCarthy

Above is the print in the dark, and below is the print in natural light...

I'm pretty obsessed with anything that glows in the dark, and to find out that a great print artist includes, Harry Potter, Lost, dinosaurs and starry night, is way too much for me to handle. I have a serious art crush going on right now. Apparently, every one else loves Dan McCarthy as well because almost all of his stuff is sold out! I guess a girl can dream.

It's Fall!

Hooray! Hooray! It's Fall! It's my favorite season, and I'm excited. Scarves, chilly nights, Joshua Tree meteor showers, jackets, pumpkin spice lattes, colorful leaves and the pumpkin patch. YES!

Black and White Photos

There is just something about Black and White photography that gets me all excited and dreamy. I love this last picture sooooo much. I want to blow it up, frame it and hang it somewhere...the only problem is that I've run out of wall space in my room (I still need to hang up 2 more pictures!) Someday when I've got my own place the walls will be covered in photos and paintings.

Marc Johns

Marc Johns makes me laugh. All of his illustrations are so matter of fact yet so silly. I love this guys imagination.

Here is an explanation to that first picture. I'm going to try to stop choosing envy.
Thanks Marc
"We live in culture envy.Pick up a magazine, and what happens after flipping through a few pages? 'Ooh, I wish I had those shoes. I wish I lived in that house.' I do it too. It's kind of fun sometimes. (And it's not just in magazines - it happens on those Covet-This-Stuff blogs we all read. You know which ones I'm talking about.) But I think it's important to acknowledge that we do it, and more importantly that we choose to do it, and that it can lead us astray. We end up making decisions based on envy, instead of making them based on who we'd like to become, and staying true to ourselves. So this is simply my attempt at distilling a big aspect of our culture down to three words."
